Whiskey Throttle BBQ: Top BBQ Spot with Hearty Portions and Friendly Service in Jasper, TN

Driving through and saw this nearby. What a great find! I had the brisket platter with onion rings and baked beans (pictured). Excellent all around. And the portions were massive! So rare anymore to find good food at reasonable pricing. Service was fast, friendly and unpretentious. Super happy I found this place. Definitely returning when I drive through again.

Really good brisket. Tea, not so much. Waitress was attentive without being pushy. Shared a brisket plate and had plenty of food for two. Fries were good (asked them to make extra crispy) and so was the coleslaw (mayo based).

Cute bbq joint in what looks like the middle of nowhere in mountains. Service was top notch! Delicious food, generous serving sizes. Friendly service! I haven’t enjoyed a meal out this well in a very long time!

This place is an absolute gem! It has a warm, family-friendly, and dog-loving atmosphere that made us feel right at home. We stopped in while traveling from Wisconsin to Florida, and we’re so glad we did. Aysa was our server—she’s a lovely lady who was incredibly helpful and attentive throughout our visit. We also had the pleasure of meeting Paul, the owner. He was extremely friendly and even came out to chat with us personally, which added such a nice, personal touch to our experience. And the food? Hands down the best BBQ in town! Everything was flavorful and cooked to perfection. If you’re in the area, don’t miss this spot. We’ll definitely be back!

Can’t believe this place wasn’t packed to the brim! As you can see the fried pickles were just perfect- the right pickle, the right breading. These few left will be gone before we leave! The bbq sandwich was great. No fat or gristle. These folks know what they’re doing. Of course I had a frozen margarita! Lovely!

There were twelve of us that went to dinner. I would have gave it five stars except my son’s food came out 10 minutes after everyone else’s and they didn’t serve coffee. Other than that everything was great. Nothing fancy, just a quaint little place with good food. The waitress was friendly and very helpful. She was also very understanding when it came to indecisive little ones. She gave us refills when our glasses were empty and picked up our plates right away. For service, I give her 5 stars. My husband had the pulled pork platter with tater tots and macaroni and cheese. He said the pulled pork was amazing and that there was a lot of food. The helping of tater tots he had was huge. He couldn’t eat all of his food. One of my boys had a cheeseburger and fries. He said it was good and the burger wasn’t dry. Two of my boys had a brisket sandwiches. One had fries and the other had macaroni and cheese. The brisket had a lot of pepper, but it was very good. One of my girls had chicken tenders and a double helping of fries. She said the tenders were ok, kind of dry, but the fries were good. I had a loaded baked potato with pulled pork and barbecue sauce, cheese, and sour cream. It was very good. I order pulled pork stuffed potatoes at every place that offers them. I take it the pulled pork wasn’t smoker, it wasn’t smokey at all, but it was still nice and juicy. Overall, this is a nice little restaurant with good food.

I called the bartender by the wrong name, but she didn’t seem to care and continued to make an over the top bloody Mary nice little bar with football playing on the big screen screens. The half pound cheeseburger did not disappoint.

Waitress said barbecue brisket sandwich was the best in tennessee. I was skeptical, but hot damn, it was the best brisket sandwich I've ever had. The ribs are also an epic adventure for your taste buds.
